Information Sent Directly
Search terms
A name, location, or other text entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Union County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy policy and terms control after the request leaves the page.
Messages and requests
If a visitor sends an email or other contact message, the information is kept so a reply can be prepared. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law, a valid legal order, or a service needed to handle the communication.
Technical Data and Cookies
Routine page loads can create technical logs. These details help diagnose errors, understand use, and keep the pages working:
- IP address or a related network identifier.
- Browser name, version, and language settings.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages visited and the time spent on each.
- The referring site, when a referral is supplied.
- Request timestamps and basic connection details.
Cookie choices
Cookies or similar tools may be used to understand how visitors use the pages and to support features. Browser settings can block or delete them. Some functions may act differently when cookies are refused.
How Information Is Used
Collected information is used only for ordinary service operations, such as:
- Keeping the pages available, secure, and reasonably fast.
- Routing a search request to the partner service selected for that tool.
- Learning which page topics visitors find useful.
- Finding errors, abuse, and technical failures.
- Showing advertising that may be relevant to general interests.
Public Union County records remain with the sheriff, jail, police department, court, or corrections agency that created them. A private page visit does not alter an official record.
Links and Advertising Partners
The pages link to the Union County Jail, Sheriff Shawn Dyer's office, Blairsville Police Department, Georgia courts, the Georgia Department of Corrections, federal locators, local news, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's own privacy statement governs its collection and use of information.
Some advertising partners may use their own tools to observe activity across sites for interest-based advertising. That tracking occurs on their systems, not as a promise that this reference service can see or control every partner record.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by this service. It may be received by the parties below when needed for the stated operation or when the law requires it:
- Search partners that process a query entered into their tool.
- Analytics providers that measure page use and reliability.
- Advertising networks and their technical vendors.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order or legal duty.
Security Is Limited
Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used for the information handled here. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security, and no breach-proof guarantee is made. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive information in an ordinary message when it is not needed to identify a request.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submits information, a parent or guardian may use the contact route to ask that it be deleted, subject to records the law requires the service to retain.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the information and the law that applies, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held about the visitor.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Request deletion of information that does not need to be retained.
- Object to or opt out of certain processing, where available.
Requests should identify the information at issue without sending unnecessary sensitive details. A request can be submitted through Get in Touch.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised when the service, partners, or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Using the pages after an update means the revised practices apply going forward.
